Three Years!

My middle baby boy is turning three years old tomorrow! As all birthdays are, it's a little bittersweet because time is passing before my very eyes. It seems just yesterday we found out we were pregnant with Sam and now he's a big brother and growing so fast! This post shows some of his most memorable moments!

This picture was taken December 29, 2006. The morning Sam was born!
(cute crib bedding huh?)

The time had come. We were headed to the hospital just waiting for the big moment!
If you know Sam at all, then you would find it appropriate that it looks like I swallowed a basketball.

I am here haha!! Watch Out!

It's bath time. Look at that chubster!

Having fun with pawpaw!

This picture of Sam looks identical to Charlie, seriously If Huett didn't look so young I wouldn't be able to tell which was which!

Ava was holding Sam's hand during a long car ride. Sam's only big girl cousin!

Look at those double chins. (they get that from their mommy, unfortunately)

Baby dedication. Every boy in our family (Huett, Sam, Archer, and soon Charlie) has worn this christening gown. So sweet!

Mommy and baby! I love me some Sambo!

Here we were starting to see some early glimpses of the ham that Sam has become today

Choo choo at the zoo!

Mommy and daddy are so much fun! I think they are laughing at my big belly...

Sam's body was finally starting to catch up with his big head...

Happy Halloween! 2007

This kid'll eat anything...maybe we should've named him Mikey!

Getting bigger and more handsome!

Let the hair growing commence! Here is where his hair really started growing longer and thickening up!

Brrrr!! The water at Splash! is really cold!

and tasty!

I don't at all remember his hair ever being this light but the proof is in the picture!
Big brown eyes!

Worn out after a day of hard play!

here he is again, trying to get some laughs. It worked!

what a beautiful boy!

honestly, he'll eat anything (or drink for that matter).

After his big haircut, he looks so handsome!
.
.
Things I know for sure about Sam
.
1. He has 2 parents who love him dearly although he's a daddy's boy
2. He is truly a unique and precious gift from God
3. He keeps us laughing on a daily basis
4. He is a loving and sweet brother (both big and little)
5. I have a feeling he may have a few class clown awards in his future (might I remind everyone I was voted Wittiest {is that a word?} in my senior class at SCS).
6. I also know he'll break a few (or many) hearts!.
but right now, I am the only woman in his life and I will enjoy it while it lasts.
.
So Happy Birthday middle son!! I hope you enjoy us as much as we enjoy you!
.
And good luck giving up your pass-wass! (pacifier) I will be there with you every step of the way.
.
And Mikey, don't be surprised if I cry more than Sam does the first night we send him to bed without it.
.
I love you more than life!

In spite of all the stresses that everyday life brings, I am still so blessed and grateful for what God has given me. Three beautiful healthy sons, a wonderful husband who I am still madly in love with, and a huge extended family who I won't even try to name here!
I hope everyone is taking the time to cherish their family and the things that matter most this Christmas season. I am sitting here at work, and all I have to do is look at these pictures and I know that no matter what I am worried about, I have these little blessings waiting at home for me and all is well.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Love,
Tiffany

interesting little fact :
Huett weighed 7 pounds 12 ounces
but
Sam weighed 8pounds 2 ounces
Taiden weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces
Teagan weighed 8 pounds 5 ounces
Charlie weighed 8 pounds 6 ounces
Ava weighed 8 pounds 8 ounces and
Archer weighed 8 pounds 9 ounces...
we have almost the entire eight pound weight range covered...
glad to know Mikey and I won't be filling in any of those gaps. I wonder if it is something genetic that made all of our kids so close in age? Talk amongst yourselves...

Here are some sweet pictures of my sweet little niece! Congratulations to my big brother and his wife Jenny!! And sweet big sister Teagan!

My third neice was born yesterday! I actually got to attend the delivery and it was so exciting! She is so beautiful and as soon as I get some pictures of her I will post them!! SO sweet

In case you haven't gotten the idea, I really love Christmas.
My mom is very creative and she made these stockings for the kids...aren't they AWESOME!
They came together and turned out really cute!

While mom was at Granny's putting the finishing touches on them, and I was at work, Charlie and Archer were having a boy's day with Trisha. She did an impromptu photo shoot.
Charlie's almost too big for this stocking...well,I guess he is too big but it is still a cute picture!

Look at that sweet baby.

he looks like a little sumo wrestler

if I haven't said it lately, Archer is still the coolest kid I've ever met. Seriously.

he's so cute.

Aunt Trisha got him really giggling in this picture.

don't you love that strategically placed blanket!

is that Charlie or a snowbabies ornament?

I'm so thankful for these sweet boys! Christmas is going to be so much fun this year!

I was just showing off some pictures of the boys at work(my first day back was Monday). After much oohing and aahing from my co-workers about how seriously handsome the boys are(just look at my new header), Shannon, a fellow nurse, asked me how I could come to work everyday and leave those sweet boys at home. I quickly referred her back to my last post and told her to just look at the chip debauchle of '09 and then she could see how we might need a break from one another.
.
We then decided that I need to work as much as possible now, because in about 14 years, when they are 18, 16, and 14, I will have to quit working all together and beat off all the girls at our front door. Maybe I can get some tips from my mother-in-law because I am positively sure that she got lots of practice trying to do the same thing with their daddy...even if she wasn't very successful. Kidding kidding!
.
But seriously, look back up at their pictures and tell me I'm not in big trouble!

I've been a little busy lately so it took something really ridiculous to return me to my blog. Unfortunately this story comes at the expense of a harmless bag of Salt and Vinegar chips

This picture should be your first clue that what is to come isn't gonna be pretty.

Are you starting to get the picture?

this bag is victim #1

notice it's contents spilled throughout the room.

on the furniture

EVERYWHERE!!!

this picture gives your first glimpse at victim #2 in the swing

do you think that the perpetrators were able to spread chips all around and somehow miss the innocent infant resting peacefully in his swing?

I'd like to submit for evidence the fact this this onesie is solid white so everything else you see is the remnant of victim #1 (bag of salt and vinegar chips)
Do you think the accused actually put that lone chip on his head or do you think it magically landed there?

it was everywhere. This poor baby will surely be scarred for life. He was immediately whisked away for a bath. He kept smacking his lips because inevitably some of the powder from the chips got into his mouth, along with everywhere else.

needless to say, he was not amused! ( neither was I)
.
He immediately pressed charges.
.
Since I was the judge and jury, Sam was found guilty of strewing the chips throughout the room as well as onto Charlie and his surroundings. Huett was found guilty to aiding and abetting a criminal. Both were sentenced to solitary confinement. One in their bedroom, and one in Charlie's bedroom.
.
maybe I've been watching too many courtroom dramas...what else am I supposed to do at 2:00 in the morning while I am feeding Charlie?
.
For those of you who are wondering where I was when all of this was going down? I was in my bedroom using my breastpump to provide the best nutrition for Charlie as possible...and with big brothers like this, looks like he's gonna need it.
.
.
.
.
.
I knew something was going down because I could hear Huett and Sam laughing hysterically. They have this certain laugh that they only do when they are misbehaving so I was expecting something to be going on. The last time I heard such laughter whilst I was pumping, they had taken all of Charlie's diapers out of his diaper caddie and had covered him from head to toe with them while he was in his swing. Another time, Huett had covered Charlie completely with a load of clothes that I had just folded on my bed. But I never imagine the mess I encountered. the first picture with the little vacuum was their futile attempts to clean up the mess themselves before I could see it. So Sam did the damage and Huett just laughed from the sideline and encouraged Sam to keep doing it. All I can say is.... Boy oh Boy oh Boy!
