Extra! Extra! Read all about it!

So, as I wrote in a previous post, our house is soon to be on the market. We've had a few people ask to come look at it, so I thought I'd play real estate agent for a day and post pictures of it on my blog (complete with detailed *and maybe a little biased* descriptions)

This is the front of our house. Yes, it's dark and not a great picture, but it gives you a good idea of what it looks like.

This is the front porch, which is about to be recovered with indoor/outdoor carpet.

This is our foyer. On the left, just out of the picture is a closet, perfect for shoes and coats.

This is our nice, roomy playroom, or formal living room.

This is the hallway that leads to the bedrooms. Directly to the right is the entrance to the dining room.

Same hallway, different end.

This is one of the bedrooms

I took a picture of each of the rooms from two different spots. This bedroom has a brand new fan in it!

Charlie's room, which also has a new fan.

Both of these bedrooms have normal sized closets complete with shelving and hanging racks.

This is the front bathroom. It was just completely remodeled two years ago.

It has a tub/shower and ceramic tile floors.

This is the master bedroom.

Our bed looks enormous, but I love it!
It has a normal sized closet in it as well.

This is the master closet. And, yes I know it's an absolute mess!
I have no good excuse for this except for the fact that straightening it out is probably the last thing on my list of things to do!

I felt I had to include it, however, because I love it and it was a major selling point for me!

This is the room that connects the master bath/closet/bedroom. I use it for a makeup room! This is the only area that is solely mine, so it's a little fluffed up! I needed some pink!

This is the master bathroom. It has new flooring, and a tub/shower combination as well.

I love the extra shelving in the corner. It comes in handy more than you'd think!

This is the formal dining room. It has new ceramic tile, and a new light fixture as well.

Yes, I know it's purple! I happen to like bright colors. I can't bring myself to paint it just to sell it. I figure the new owners can pick a color they love and paint it the way they like it! Anyone can paint, right?

This is our kitchen, which has been updated with all new appliances.

It also has newly laid ceramic tile.

This is our "downstairs" den. And by downstairs, I mean the two steps off of the kitchen that take you into this room. There is also a door in this room that takes you into the backyard.
This room also has new lighting in it.

The big stone fireplace is equipped with gas logs. I love nothing more than lighting them( and by lighting them, I mean turning the knob) on a cold winter morning and snuggling with my boys!
Also off of this room, the laundry room/pantry. My dad made custom shelving in there. And, yes it is a mess, too. That's why it isn't pictured! Whose laundry room isn't a little messy, hah!

Off the dining room are giant glass sliding doors that take you out to the back porch.

This is the deck, which leads into the backyard.

This storage building sits along the fence in the backyard, and will remain with the house! It's where we store everything and has plenty of room for all of our stuff, and more!
.
The house is 2200 square feet on a little less than one acre of land. The yard is just big enough for kids or pets to have plenty of room to play, but not too big that you'll be tied up doing yardwork constantly.
We just put a new roof on about six months ago, the landscaping in the front yard (not pictured) was just done last summer. The hardwoods were refinished last summer. The bathroom and kitchen were both remodeled in the last few years.
We put a lot of work into updating this house! It's as solid today as it was when it was built. And apparently it is well insulated b/c our utility bills are always lower than our neighbors(yes, we've compared). Speaking of neighbors, you couldn't have any better than the ones that surround this house! They have all lived in their houses for 20+ years, and are like family.
I think we will be listing it somewhere in the low 100s.
.
How did I do as salesman? If you all aren't chomping at the bit to buy this house then something is wrong with you!
.
I'm kidding, but this house really has been a labor of love for us, and I would love to see it go to someone who will take care of it and can enjoy it the way we have.
